Strong passwords should be simple.
KeyMint is a free, static password generation tool. You can create passwords, multi-word passphrases, and numeric PINs without creating an account, sharing personal information, or sending your newly generated secret to a server.
Why we built it this way
Password generation can work entirely in a modern browser. KeyMint uses the browser's crypto.getRandomValues() API, cryptographically random selection of characters and words, and a self-contained local word list. The tool itself has no dependencies on an API service, tracking pixel, or analytics script.
What the generator can do
- Generate passwords from a configurable mix of uppercase letters, lowercase letters, digits, and symbols.
- Guarantee at least one character from every selected category.
- Avoid look-alike characters or repeated characters when the settings permit it.
- Build memorable passphrases from 4 to 10 independently selected words.
- Make numeric PINs and generate five secrets at once, without storing them on a server.
What KeyMint is not
KeyMint is not a password manager, breach-detection service, or password recovery solution. It cannot retrieve a secret after you clear or leave the page. Use a trusted password manager to save important credentials.
